JUSTICE FOR ALL ( 7.8 MB)
An Assessment of Access to Justice in Five
Provinces of Indonesia
This report seeks to approach the
issue of access to justice from the perspective of the poor and
disadvantaged – those who are some of the most vulnerable to
injustice yet least able to advocate for change on their own behalf.
Based on the results of qualitative and quantitative research
undertaken in West Kalimantan, Maluku, North Maluku, Central
Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi, the report focuses firmly on
identifying the key justice-related issues affecting citizens at the
village level, the steps they have taken to resolve those issues,
and why.

ACCESS TO JUSTICE IN ACEH ( 3.3 MB)
Making the Transition to Sustainable Peace
and Development in Aceh
Access to justice is increasingly
recognised as a necessary pre-condition for peace and development,
especially in poor and post-conflict settings. By ‘access to
justice’, UNDP means “the ability of people, particularly from poor
and disadvantaged groups, to seek and obtain a remedy through formal
and informal justice systems, in accordance with human rights
principles and standards”. To support the post-tsunami and
post-conflict recovery in Aceh, an assessment has been undertaken to
understand citizens’ access to justice in Aceh.
